A live scene: a cloud of drifting points that scatters away from the pointer. Observing it collapses the cloud to a single resolved point.

Uncertainity.dev

A short, playable episode about the thing that happens when you look.

Yes, that spelling. “Uncertainity” is a typo that got registered, noticed, and kept. It is a corrupted measurement that persisted — which, given the subject, was too on the nose to correct.

What this is

Uncertainity is a micro-episode: two or three minutes, one mechanic. You are the observer, and observing is the only way anything resolves. Measure one property and you give up another. An unobserved system has not failed you — it simply hasn't happened yet.

The interesting part is underneath. Every entity, behaviour and state change is expressed as a relation in a graph — declarative, inspectable, and authorable by an agent — rather than as imperative game code. The scene above is that engine running live in your browser, at about 17 KB. The episode's graph will be published openly and appended to, never rewritten, so the whole thing stays readable as a record.
